Accessibility Statement
Effective date: October 15, 2026
Appeal Central wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use this website and get a clear first answer about an Amazon notice. This statement explains what we do to make the Site accessible, where we know it still falls short, and how to reach us.
1. Our conformance target
We aim for the Site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and to meet Level AAA where practical, for example 7:1 contrast for body text. We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our benchmark under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and under the IS 5568 web accessibility standard, which is based on WCAG.
2. What we have done
- Semantic HTML with a page language, headings in order, and landmarks (header, navigation, main content, and footer).
- A "Skip to content" link as the first item on every page.
- Full keyboard access. Every link, button, and form field can be reached and used with the keyboard, in a logical order, with a clearly visible focus outline.
- Text and interface colors checked for contrast. Body text meets at least 7:1, and other text and controls meet at least 4.5:1 or 3:1 as required.
- Forms with visible labels, required fields marked in text, input types and autocomplete hints, and an error message that is announced to screen readers.
- Decorative images hidden from assistive technology, and meaningful images described with text alternatives.
- Layouts that reflow at 320 pixels wide and when zoomed to 400 percent, without loss of content or two-way scrolling.
- Touch targets of at least 24 by 24 pixels.
- Reduced motion respected: if your device asks for less motion, the Site turns off animations and smooth scrolling.
- No auto-playing media, no flashing content, no time limits, and no cookies or tracking scripts. The only script is a small accessibility helper for the pop-up windows, served from our own domain.
- Pop-up windows for the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and this statement are labeled dialogs. When they open, keyboard focus moves into them and stays inside until they close. They close with the Escape key or the Close link, and focus then returns to the link that opened them. Each also has an "Open full page" link, and each document is available as a regular page. The pop-ups also work without JavaScript.
- Automated testing with axe-core, Pa11y, and Lighthouse, plus manual keyboard and zoom checks.
3. Known limitations
- The on-site chat is not live yet. Its input is shown as a disabled preview. Until it launches, please use the Claude Code plugin or the contact form.
- Content on third-party services we link to, such as Claude and Claude Code, is outside our control.
If you find any other barrier, please tell us so we can fix it.
4. Contact us about accessibility
If you have difficulty using any part of the Site, or need information in a different format, contact us:
Please describe the problem, the page or feature, and the device, browser, and assistive technology you use, if any. We will reply within 5 business days and, where we can, offer the information or service in another accessible way while we work on a fix.
5. Updates to this statement
We review this statement when we make significant changes to the Site and at least once a year.
